you have to do now is get the electronics for the unit, known
as the Hy-tronics in the manual, and install the unit on to your
engine as an attachment to the engine. You can purchase the

As you look at the photo of the HydroStar Generator you will
notice a red cap at the top of the generator that is screwed onto
the white shaft of the generator. This cap has a black hose that
is connected to a pressure gage. You may want to put this gage
on your dish board as it measures the pressure inside of the
Hydrogen Generator. If so, you will need a longer hose. Also,
you will see a black hose that is coming out of the top of the
cap with a white tube connected to it. This is were the
hydrogen & oxygen, that is produced inside the generator,
comes out to your intake manifold. The white tube is the flash
arrestor. The flash arrestor is a safety device that stops any
flame from a back fire of the engine entering the hydrogen
generator and causing an explosion.
Also, you will notice on the top of the red cap that there are two
red wires protruding from the top of the cap. These wires are to
be connected to the electronics that will control the water
pump. The water pump and water tank is one of the things that
you will need to purchase. You can use any size water tank but
I recommend that you get at least a five gallon tank. The
HydroStar manual will tell you were to order the water pump.
What ever you do, do not connect the water pump directly to
the battery. This will burn out the level switch in the Hydrogen
Generator that tells the pump to turn on once the water gets
low in the generator. So, do not connect these wires directly to
the battery.
You will also see a metal pressure relief vale on top of the red
cap on top of the HydroStar Generator. This is for relieving
pressure inside of the generator if pressure gets above 85 PSI.
So, you have two safety devices on the HydroStar Generator.
One being the flash arrestor and the other being the pressure
relief value. This makes the HydroStar Generator safe to
operate.
As you look down the white shaft of the generator you will see
a black hose sticking out of the side of the shaft. This is a
check value that lets the water into the generator when the
float value tells the water pump to replace depleted water. It is
tied into the water pump and the water tank.
The bottom red cap of the HydroStar Generator is were the
electrodes are connected. The outer electrode, that protrudes
with a bolt and screw nut, is the (+) positive connection. The
inner electrode is the (-) negative connection, which has a bolt
and screw nut next to the (+) positive electrode, and is in close
proximity of the (+) positive connection electrode. You will find
another bolt and nut protruding on the other side of the end
cap. This is to secure the positive electrode to the end cap.
The inner electrode that is inserted into the outer electrode has
a nylon spacer between them. This keeps the two electrodes
from shorting out.
You will also see a drain plug on the end cap of the HydroStar
Generator. This is to be used as a way to drain the water out of
the HydroStar Generator for maintenance.
You should use distilled water with 1/4 teaspoon of baking
soda for each gallon of water in your HydroStar Generator. You
can increase the amount of baking soda if you don't see
enough production of hydrogen and oxygen of the HydroStar
Generator. Please understand that an increase of baking soda
will increase the amount amperage that is pulled from the
battery. The weight of the HydroStar Generator is about 17 lbs.
It stands about 23" inches tall. This includes the protruding
drain plug and electrodes on the bottom cap and the
protruding connections on the top cap. With the caps, the
width of the tube is 5.5" inches wide. The generator always
stands vertically. You may have to place the unit in your trunk
standing straight up.
